New ORCA users can get a digital ORCA card from Google Wallet for the same cost as a physical card.
Existing ORCA cardholders can convert a physical personal card into a digital card from the Google Wallet at no cost. When you convert a plastic card into a digital card in Google Wallet, your plastic card will be deactivated and will no longer work.
Once added to the Google Wallet, digital ORCA cards will operate the same way as physical ORCA cards, allowing you to reload and track usage directly from Google Wallet. If preferred, you can transfer the digital card to a Wear OS (by Google) smartwatch.
At the ferry terminals, Tap and Pay is not compatible with handheld ORCA card scanners or in bicycle lanes. If you are an ORCA user who typically scans at these locations, we recommend keeping your physical ORCA card.
