Sea Mar Scholarships - Open
Sea Mar Scholarships for the 2025 – 2026 academic year are now open!
- Sea Mar Farmworker High School & College Scholarships - Sea Mar recognizes and acknowledges the barriers children of farm working families face in their pursuit of a college degree. Economic strains, as well as language and cultural barriers can often affect these students. Sometimes students need to work after school and all summer to assist their family. Sea Mar is proud to provide annual scholarships to help make college a reality.
Award amount: $1,000.
- Latino/a Educational Achievement Project Scholarship - The Sea Mar Latino/a Educational Achievement Project Scholarship provides financial support for students who demonstrate a history of advocacy, responsibility, accountability, perseverance, are go-getters, and have shown or have the strong potential to be contributors to their community.
Award amount: $2,500

From now until March 2025, city leaders will hold meetings at City Hall and convenient locations to gather insights about residents' experiences. City officials invite community members to engage in conversations lasting 45 minutes to two hours and will review feedback to identify themes that will guide future initiatives.

What They're Studying:
They're working with the Commission on Hispanic Affairs to identify the educational opportunities and challenges facing Hispanic and Latino students.
Who They're Looking For:
Members of the Hispanic/Latinx community in Washington state who are:
- Parents and guardians of children aged 10 to 18 years old.
- Current students grade 6 to 12 (with parental consent).
What’s in it for You:
• Share your experiences and insights.
• Help shape the future of education for the community.
• Receive a $20 incentive as a token of appreciation for your time.

Introduction to Healthcare Employment and Apprenticeship Program (IHAP)
Are you interested in pursuing a healthcare career but need help figuring out where to start? IHAP is a free, comprehensive two-part employment training program designed to prepare entry-level job seekers for a career in healthcare. The program consists of two phases: Healthcare Foundations, a 2-week course, and Nursing Assistant training, an 8-week course. IHAP is uniquely crafted to be inclusive to those needing the flexibility of attending classes virtually while also gaining hands-on technical skills through in-person training such as Basic Life Support Training. Classes are taught online, while training and labs are held in person. Enrollment is open from Oct 22 - Nov 19, and training begins Dec 2.
