JTE Case Manager
Job Summary
The Case Manager is responsible for making an in-depth assessment of students' needs and determining what resources are available to assist them. Responsible for managing case load, referrals, goal setting and acts as an advocate/facilitator to help meet student needs.
Essential Functions:
Case manage students to reduce barriers and meet basic needs. Assess needs, give guidance, and monitor progress.
Provide services and/or referrals for needs through direct services utilizing Goodwill resources, or by referral to another organization, connecting students to outside agencies as needed.
Provide advocacy, and follow up with providers to whom referrals have been made, or that have made a commitment of resources to the student.
Provide workshops on basic needs and resource topics regularly. Provide workshops on other topics as needed.
Complete intake assessment including all required forms and documents for student's enrollment.
Maintain clear and accurate case notes in database, and maintain paper and electronic student files.
Build professional relationships with students and site staff that facilitate successful outcomes.
Partner with JTE Center Manager(s), and collaborative partners to create opportunity and positive outcomes for students.
Present individual cases in the monthly case review meeting and relay all pertinent student information to requisite supervisors.
Actively participate in staff meetings and other departmental projects.
Demonstrates safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
Facilitates a positive relationship between Seattle Goodwill and the partnering/host agency for the purpose of student success.
Collect, monitor, and report on student outcome data if applicable.
Network with community based agencies, organizations, and groups to stay informed about area services and resources if applicable.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as law enforcement reports, government or agency regulations and legal interpretations.
Ability to practice confidentiality at all times.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to make good decisions without on-site supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new software as appropriate and necessary to the job.
Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
