Dear Student,
You are invited to apply for the Latino Leadership Institute (LLI) Program. Sponsored by Latino Educational Training Institute (LETI) a local non-profit organization.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Nov 26, 2018.
If you are one of the ten selected candidates, you will have the opportunity to participate directly with the Latino Community in our area; we’ll give you the tools to positively impact the lives of other young Latinos! Be a role model!
The LLI program runs from Dec 08, 2018 to Jun 01, 2019.
BENEFITS:
All program expenses are covered by LETI. Participants do not pay anything
Receive 30+ hours of free Leadership Training
FREE transportation and lunch for all sessions and meetings
Receive a Certificate of Recognition as an EVCC Student Leader
Receive assistance to apply for at least two Scholarships
Meet and network with prominent Latino dignitaries and professionals
Learn how to prepare a professional portfolio
Receive letters of recommendation from Latino professionals
Receive recommendations for internships at various businesses upon completion
Opportunity for summer employment
Participants REQUIREMENTS:
Currently enrolled at EVCC and a commitment to register for Winter and Spring
Self-identified as Latino(a)
Commitment to attend all scheduled events. Please see the attached Application for Participant Expectations (location/dates/time)
Seven (7) Saturday events, and six (6) daytime weekday meetings at EVCC
Work on a team project with LLI students from your college (approx. 40 hours)
All students are welcome to apply regardless of immigration status
Please note: former LLI participants are not eligible to apply
